WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?
St. Luke’s is part of the United Methodist denomination, the second largest Protestant denomination in America.
We believe the goal of the Christian life is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as you love yourself.
We strive for personal holiness by inviting people into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ, and we pursue social holiness in the public sphere by addressing key issues of our time. We value serving those who are in need.
We hold the Bible to be divinely inspired and live by it every day. We recognize the Bible was written by people who heard God in the light of their own cultural and historical circumstances.
We are both emotionally and intellectually engaged. We have strong convictions, but we recognize that things is not always black and white. We are willing to ask questions, and to do so with grace and compassion.
WHAT ARE YOUR SERVICE TIMES AND WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
You should expect to be warmly greeted and to feel right at home on your first visit. You’re certain to find friendly people who are ready to help you find your way without overwhelming you.
